About
I call this car Project Z because it came bone stock and I built it up. My cavalier was made in April 1991. It is the Z-24 witch came with a 3.1L V-6 engine 5 speed trans, Bright Blue Metallic paint and lots more. All of the work done to her took place in my drive way (want it done right, do it yourself). I wired everything from lights to computers, installed antennas to wheels, did my own engine mods, brakes and painting.

Maintenance
New 3.1L V-6 engine @ 99,305 miles...rear brake drums, cylinders, spring kit, front calipers, alternator upgrade to 120amps, water pump, the whole cooling system, fan switch, air intake hose, upper an lower intakes, clutch hydraulic system, clutch fork & bearings, battery, stater motor, brake master cylinder, oil pressure sensor, and more.

In other words, I take care of everything. Never missed an oil change or even gone over 3,000 miles. To keep her running real good I check her out every day.

I run Syntec synthetic oil, Amsoil trans. fluid, Castrol power steering & brake fluid. Synthetic is so much better. Yes it cost more, But how much is a new engine.

Try this! I got a new engine because I blew my first one. I was driving on the high way at 65 mph when my oil cooler blew a clamp. I did not know I was loseing oil till the car stoped. The clamp held an oil line on that sent cool oil back to the engine. The oil pump shot out 4.8qts of oil on the road 17 miles back down the road. I drove 17 miles befor it seized!
